Ham & Veggie Stirfry Bento

Ham & Veggie Stirfry

Because I had a lot of different vegetables left in the fridge and the weekend is already looming closer, I decided to use them in a stirfry with some noodles.  So in this stirfry, you find (besides the udon noodles) ham cubes, zucchini, eggplant, green asparagus, snow peas, spring onion, a mini corncob, a few shiitake and the last shimeji.

For dessert, I packed an apricot, a few lychees, a saturn peach, white grapes and half an apple.

Bon appetit.

Wow, I love your bentos, they're so colourful and well presented and they look delicious! I've already seen so many things I want to try, such inspiration! I especially love the apple in this one, did you make the same way you would make a checkered apple? Only change the pattern?

Hi. Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to comment. The apple is indeed done the same way you would make a checkered apple i.e. cut parallel diagonal lines into the apple in sets of two, and then one set of double cuts in the opposite diagonal. Afterwards it is only a matter of cutting/peeling of the skin where you want the fruit's flesh exposed. I considered removing the little squares where the lines cross at first, but decided against it as I thought it looked better with them.
